A day after doing the rugged Mahoosucs in one day, Mercury picks up her pace and does four trail sections around Andover, ME that contain some rugged footway and considerable, steep elevation changes.
She is a joy to watch move when she is ‘in the zone’ – not fast but relentless, light-footed, graceful, forward progress.
Thanks to local educator, Seth Laliberte, for hiking with her during the last section. Always nice to have company on the last, last-nite section ( a twenty hour and 15 minute day at the office).
Counting her morning hiking hours, Mercury hiked almost seven hours by headlight/flashlight today. She appears fearless in the night-hiking realm.
Jupiter continues to operate in reliable, dependable awe.
Onward to Saddleback, Sugarloaf, the Crockers and the the 2,000 mile mark!
